Hi.

Welcome to my blog.. Hope you have a nice stay!

Let's Talk Detox.

Let's Talk Detox.

Okay lets talk detox. And no, nothing to do with diets + food.

I have spent the last three months detoxing that last areas of "personal care products" + switching to safer that I had left to do. I have been on this journey for over two years [Yup. It takes time!] and I can say I am 90% switched over to safer in our household.

The two areas I had left were my deodorant and hair care. Today, lets focus on deodorant. Which, it was hard you guys. Both of these products take dedication and commitment to switching. Your body has been so used to the nasty ingredients in those products that it takes time for your body to adjust. But the good news, it has worked for me and some of the girls on my team that did it with me :)

This great article states " We are supposed to sweat and need it for your health."  After reading this article it totally got me thinking and determined to switch over.

Our bodies were not meant to use antiperspirants. All it does is clog up our pores and the sweat builds up under there. Razor bumps? Hello, make the switch. The aluminum compounds in there can also be the culprits of those awesome yellow stains on your white shirts. The scariest of all, these harmful ingredients can lead to horrible diseases. Alzhiemer and breast cancer have been linked to aluminum compounds, which are in a lot of conventional deodorants. I have seen WAY too much breast cancer around me in my lifetime. So anything to prevent it, I'm in!

So now that we know it is in our best interest to switch to safer deodorant, what can we do to make the switch easier?

1/ Commit. You have to dedicate time and patience to switching over.

2/Get a charcoal bar. THIS has been key to making sure I don't stink and it cuts the "detox process" time in half. I use this in the shower [just in my pits] and I had zero problems! When I went out of town and forgot it, I totally saw a difference!

3/Get the right deodorant. I have found through many reviews + following people on IG that the best two brands are Native & Primally Pure. I personally use Primally Pure [Lemon Grass + my husband uses Charcoal].

I know switching to safer products can be scary + hard to do. But your health matters and now days, there are plenty of companies that make high performing safe products for us! If you ever have questions about this detox or switching products to safer ones, never hesitate to reach out. I love helping people get a customize plan for switching to safer products for their family!
